Our Founder & Formulator

Hello! My name is Jo,

I am the founder of The Soap Method, born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a proud Fire Wife, Mom, Step Mom & Rescue Dog Mom of ALL BOYS!

I launched The Soap Method in early 2020, however, my skincare journey began back in 2012 when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Vitiligo. Even today, there is not much known about the cause of this disorder & there is no cure as of yet. Scared, insecure, confused & frustrated I started to do my own research and quickly came to terms I needed to create my own products for my own personal use to ensure I was using “Truly” 100% all natural products on my skin. After many stops & starts, endless recipes, epic formulation fails, family & friends wanting my products, I finally gave in! What started as a Passion project for me in 2012 quickly took a turn, and I knew I needed to share these creations with everyone! I started formulating an all natural ethical skin care brand that can help others find Peace of Mind & Comfort in the brand & most importantly Confidence in their beautiful skin no matter the problem area, disease or disorder.  Fast Forward 8 years later to Today,

We are THE SOAP METHOD  Soaps . Philosophy . Purpose

& I am so grateful for every day on this Journey!

Thank You for being a Natural Beauty &  for your support in our small batch skin care brand! I urge each & every one of you with a creative dream to keep at it and never give up! We all have special gifts & purposes waiting to be discovered & shared!  It has been a wonderful journey & I will continue to create natural ethical products that bring Inspiration, Confidence & a little Joy to you All!

xo,

Jo G.

Psalm 51:10 “Create in Me a Clean Heart”

Vitiligo is a disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. The cause is not known, and there is no cure at this time. Vitiligo may be an autoimmune disorder; this disorder happens when your immune system mistakenly attacks some part of your own body. In vitiligo, the immune system may destroy the melanocytes in the skin. It is also possible that one or more genes may make a person more likely to get the disorder.
